Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I may never eat another hamburger again. Damn! This article shows how truly worthless the USDA really is.

Well perhaps if enough people DO that the free mkt system will actually amend its' practices. My guess they will spend their efforts avoiding blame instead of improving their practices. But I am a cynic.

I couldn't even make it through the entire article. I just about tossed my cookies when it got into what her burger patties were made of. I never buy the frozen patties. I may never buy fresh hamburger again either. *throws up in mouth a little*

Well apparently that is the message the largest privately held company in the USA is telling you: 'DO NOT BUY OUR PRODUCTS.'

Well, the safer way of eating ground beef is the 93%/97% no fat, and nuke it for reheating at least 3 minutes in the micro.

    This is about $4.XX/pound.

She was a dance instructor. And here paralysis could have been prevented merely by thoroughly cooking the burger. Probably few are aware that your intestinal tract is filled with Escherechia Coli bacteria, and you could not survive without them. Hemmorhagic E. Coli ravages the body, leading to kidney failure and death, particularly in children. And ALL CAN BE PREVENTED by thoroughly cooking the meat. Steak is actually even saver. It is the GROUND meat that is riskier because can be contaminated at any point in its handling. No nead to freak out, peeps. Food poisoning has been around as long as creatures have been eating.

I think these articles do more to incite fear, than they do to actually educate. That's the news for you. The juicier it sounds, the more peeps bite on it. and I am no different. Certainly, I feel sorry for this young woman. There are no words.

[good inspections were slashed in the previous administration. check.] No blaming Mr. Obama, don't even go there. Bush SLASHED inspections. More money for his buddies. And I STAND BY these words. They can be FACTchecked. See Google.

Agreed, FDA, USDA and almost every public safeguard was either hamstrung, unfunded or stocked with industry-insider administrators under the previous President. The problem isn't the USDA. It is not allowing, funding, or staffing them to do their job. The food industry has proven to be like the auto industry. There are acceptable losses that they can live with. I call those losses, "people."

Also adding few drops of smoke flavor to the seasoning, it's safer to cook the burger in the stove if you really like it.
