Well, Charlotte, NC beat out Atlanta, GA for the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The only thing I have appreciated about NASCAR in town thus far is that IT WAS NOT IN TOWN. As the "Charlotte" Motor Speedway is across the County line it has only been the ridiculous speed street that has from time to interfered with my happy ignorance of a sport where some yahoos make a left turn for 500 miles. While there is ample history to support a HOF for NASCAR in the region, it is hard for me to get excited this. What's next? I mean, maybe Rick Flair can get the Pro-Wrasslin' Hall of Fame on top of the Hearst Tower?
I for one do not welcome our NASCAR overlords...
